Spring 2025Borrowing or Renewing Laptops The library has a limited number of laptops to check out, on a first come, first served basis. If you have checked out laptops from the Library Learning Commons, please return them on or before the due date. If you are taking classes during the Spring semester and need a laptop for academic work, please call or email us at (510) 885-4152 or techelp@csueastbay.edu for reservations. The Learning Commons is located on the first floor of the CORE Building and features individual and collaborative study space, PC computing, peer assistance at the Student Help Desk, and Assistive Technology software and machines. There are desktop computers, three workstations with Assistive Technologies, one workstation with a large print reader, and Sorenson Video Relay for deaf. Services are limited to registered students, staff, faculty and alumni.

Whether you’ve just run into a recent computer problem or are looking to learn how to use the available technology resources better, we can help. Current CSUEB students, faculty, and staff have access to the study hours at San Francisco State and San Jose State. You must be currently enrolled or employed at any CSU campus and bring your campus ID card.
