Printing and Scanning FAQ

Printing Changes

CSU East Bay has changed to a new Bay Card system. This change will affect printing in the library.

A new PHiL cash station has been installed at the library:

  • You can add cash to your Bay Card at the new cash station, or you can also add money to your card online. See the Bay Card website for more information about adding money to your card online.
  • If you don't have a Bay Card, you will need to purchase a new guest card for $1.00 at the cash station. The cash station will only accept exact change for a guest card purchase. Then you can add cash to your guest card for printing at the cash station or online.
  • If you have money left on a guest card that you received before June 30th, you will need to go to the cashier's office to transfer the money to a new guest card

If you have any questions or problems with printing in the library, please visit the Learning Commons in the first floor of the CORE Building, or contact them at 510-885-4152 or stsc@csueastbay.edu.

You can print from any printer or copier on campus regardless of where you are when you send your print job. After registering your Bay Card, just go to any machine and swipe your Bay Card to pay for printing (or use your NetID if you don’t have your card with you).

For details on how to print, copy, or scan in the library, see below. If you have any questions that are not answered here, contact the Library Learning Commons.
