About the Libraries

Archives and Special Collections Imaging Service

The Archives and Special Collections can provide imaging of those materials in its collections to which CSUEB owns the copyright, or which we deem to be in the public domain.

Because of the delicate nature of many of these materials, extra care must often be taken when scanning or photographing.

We charge by the hour for this service, and will be happy to provide an estimate ahead of time if you provide us with a detailed request.

The current charge for imaging (including retrieval, photographing, and/or scanning) is $15.00 per hour (one-hour minimum).

Archives and Special Collections Research Service

The Library's Archives and Special Collections is open to all researchers. For those who cannot visit the library in person our staff can perform requested research from materials within its collections.

We charge by the hour for this service, and will be happy to provide an estimate ahead of time if you provide us with a detailed request.

Because of the delicate nature of many of these materials, extra care must often be taken when handling. Additionally, translations may have to be performed, if desired, and should be also be factored into the time allowed.

The current charge for researching is $25.00 per hour (one-hour minimum). Photocopies – if allowed, based upon the condition of the material – are fifty cents (.50) per page.
