Card Games

We have a variety of card games, from simple fast-paced games to more complex strategy ones! Some of these, as noted, are available for checkout. 

Love Letter -> Checkout Desk

Length: 20 min

Difficulty: Moderately easy

In this game involving risk and deduction, all the players are suitors to the Princess, but she has locked herself in the palace, so you must get your love letter in early while keeping your opponents' letters away!

 

Munchkin Loot Letter -> Checkout Desk

Length: 20 min

Difficulty: Moderately easy

Take risks, use deduction skills, and rely on good luck in this game where you have to steal treasure and wreak havoc among your opponents!

 

Age of War

Players: 2-6

Length: 30 min

Difficulty: Easy

In this fast paced game, you are a Japanese daimyo trying to conquer castles to create a unified Japan. Use the dice to organize your troops and build sieges, and besiege your opponents! 

Birds of a Feather

Players: 1-7

Length: ~20 min 

Difficulty: Moderately easy

Score points for birdwatching by playing cards, noting your opponents' cards, and being mindful of the birds' habitats in this educational card game for all ages!

Rules for Solitaire (for 1 player)

Lucha Jefe

Players: 2

Length: 5-15 min

Difficulty: Moderately hard

You are a lucha libre manager who is aiming to win three Championship belts! You and your opponent both draft 4 fighters who all have different powers. The strongest fighters win!

Quarx

Players: 2-6

Length: 20 min

Difficulty: Easy

On cards with a bunch of different 3-D shapes, count all the spheres and then put down the equivalent number of cards from your hand to get points!

Scrimish

Players: 2-5 (best for 4)

Length: 10-100 min

Difficulty: Easy

In this fast-paced game, use your cards to find and attack your opponent's Crown Card!

The Good, the Bad, and the Munchkin

Players: 3-6

Length: 1 hr 30 min

Difficulty: Moderately hard

In this Old West spinoff of the popular Munchkin game, battle monsters and amass treasure alongside strategy and laughs that would make John Wayne be like "What the heck?!!"

A storyteller devises a sentence or phrase that represents one of the cards in their hand, and the other players have to guess the storyteller's card by choosing cards from their hand that match the storyteller's statement. Then all the cards including the storytellers' are presented and you get to guess what the correct card is, which determines who all gets points.

In this fast-paced game, score points for assembling the most sushi rolls, a full set of sashimi, and more!

7-Card Slugfest

Players: 3-8

Difficulty: Moderate

 

This fast-paced brawl game mixes strategy, fantasy, and speed as you throw punches to knock out your opponents in the world of Indines. But you can only score points if you score knockouts! 

Garbage Day

Players: 2-5

Length: 30 min

Difficulty: Easy

Be sure to get rid of all your garbage as you throw it in the can and trip up your roommates along the way. But also be sure not to knock over the stack! The goal is to be the last person standing by not letting your overflow pile not get out of hand! 

Clairvoyance

Difficulty: Easy

Be the best psychic by knocking out your opponents with items as they try to stop you and do the same!

Netrunner: The Card Game

Players: 2

Length: 45 min

Difficulty: Hard

You are in a dystopia where humanity is controlled by mega-corporations. One player is a megacorporation, the other is a hacker. The first of these players to reach seven points wins! Points are earned by the corporation if they can score agenda cards worth enough points or the hacker being forced to discard, and the hacker (Runner) wins if they steal a number of agenda cards worth enough points.

Difficulty: Easy

You want to avoid pairs in this popular game where the object is to not get points. Be sure not to get more points

There are many different themed decks, but the basic rules are the same. Some decks have unique theme-relevant rules.

Straw

Players: 2-6

Length: 30 min

Difficulty: Easy

Load as many items as you can onto the camel's back, but don't push the limit since you can win by playing the Straw card!

The Great Dalmuti

Players: 4-8

Length: 1 hr

Difficulty: Moderately easy

Be the first to get rid of all your cards but you have to play cards of all the same rank on your turn and be sure that the rank is equal to or higher than the ones your opponents have already played!

Length: 30 min

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Keep up with all the rules that are literally in flux for this zany game where your goal is to hold the right cards (even that is in flux too!)

 

We also have Oz Fluxx, a spinoff with a Wizard of Oz theme. It is considered a little more difficult.

Three ways to play this fast-paced game that helps your matching skills and hand-eye coordination

Easy Breezy Travel Agency

Players: 2-4

Length: 30 min

Make the big bucks as a travel agent by setting up trips for customers while handling your opponents and changing fares!

Meow

Players: 2-9

Length: 1-5 min

Difficulty: Easy

In this bluffing game, draw a card and say "Meow." The catch is that just some of the cards are Meow cards, and it's up to your opponents to determine if you're telling the truth!

Red7

Players: 2-4

Length: 5-10

Difficulty: Moderate

In this 7-round game, each round has different objectives. For each round, try to be the last person standing by having more cards  than the requirement! 

Sorry! Revenge

Players: 2-4

Length: 15 min

Difficulty: Easy

In this spinoff of a popular board game, do your best to get all of your cards to home!

Sun & Moon & Stars

Players: 2-4

Length: 5-25 min

Difficulty: Medium

You have pending changes that have not yet been saved.

 

In this deduction game, there are 4 totem spirits that chase their preferred celestial bodies (from the game title) through the heavens to capture them and prove they're the greatest. 11 cards move the celestial bodies around. The totem spirits are represented by cards that serve as secret roles for the players.

Yardmaster Express

Players: 2-5

Length: 5-10 min

Difficulty: Easy

Build trains with different cars which have various goods and values, but you can only connect railcars that share goods and values!

The Great Chili Cookoff

Note - Rules are in Spanish

Players: 2-7

Length: 30 min

Difficulty: Moderate

In this trick-taking game, try to capture the ingredients you need for your secret recipe! High card wins the trick! Note: Rules are in Spanish (cannot find a comprehensive English rulebook or tutorial).
