How to find scores online

So what about access to scores?
  • IMSLP (International Music Score Library Project/Petrucci Music Library).
  • Use the Advanced Search, click the button for "Library Catalog," then enter a keyword or two (e.g., guitar) in the "Any Field" "contains" search fields, then on the right side of that screen click on Material Type and select Scores, next click Search. Once you get the results, look on the left of the screen under "Available at CSUEB" and click on Full-text online. To limit your results to items in print in the Library, choose Held in Library. (I'm happy to walk you through these search processes! It takes some practice for all of us.)
  • You also have access to scores via Alexander Street Press: Music & Performing Arts collection.
  • And, you can request printed items (including scores) from our Library for pickup or shipping to your home address (Reserve items must be picked up). Find out how to request items in this FAQ. (note that "books" really means any library material.)
