How to find scores online

So what about access to scores?
• Many of us are familiar with the wonderful resources at IMSLP (International Music Score Library Project/Petrucci Music Library).
• Additionally, digital scores are available via the Library catalog. Use the Advanced Search, click the button for "Library Catalog," then enter a key word  or two (e.g., guitar) in the "Any Field" "contains" search fields, then on the right side of that screen click on Material Type and select Scores, next click Search. Once you get the results, look on the left of the screen under "Available at CSUEB" and click on Full-text online. To limit your results to items in print in the Library, choose Held in Library. (I'm happy to walk you through these search processes! It takes some practice for all of us.)
• You also have access to the four volume digital score collection via the CSUEB Library in the Classical Scores Library from Alexander Street Press. (Most are indexed in our catalog.)
And, you can request printed items (including scores) from our Library for pickup or shipping to your home address (Reserve items must be picked up). Find out how to request items in this FAQ. (note that "books" really means any library material.)

Music Resource Center

For the students, faculty, and staff of the CSU East Bay Department of Music, the Music Resource Center maintains a collection of performance scores and resources. Justin Plank directs the center and is an excellent source for help with both the materials there and referral to our library collections. We work together to help you in your musical lives.
