Note: Every Maker must complete the Required Orientation before using the Makerspace.
Makerspace Goals
- To always be safe when making!
- To be welcoming and share our knowledge with new makers!
- To have fun trying and creating new things!
- To learn from our failures and try again!
General Guidelines
- We are all on the same Maker Team and work together to ensure a safe and fun environment for making!
- Makerspace equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not currently accept reservations for equipment.
- The Makerspace is a place for prototyping and not for production.
- This means that the space is to be used for trying out new projects, creating and implementing new ideas.
- This means that the Makerspace is not a space for production runs for a small business or side hustle. We want to make sure that everyone can use the equipment and no one is monopolizing the equipment.
- Please clean-up after you are done and leave the space as clean as you’d want to find it.
- If you see that we are running low on a material, please let a Makerspace Staff member know.
- If you don’t know how to use something and want to, please ask the Makerspace Staff on duty. We are happy to help!
