Creating Playlists and sharing links to videos

You must create your Academic Video Online account before using these features.

First, log into your account. Then select the video you want.

Clicking on the Add to Playlist link opens a window in which you can add this video to an existing playlist or create a new playlist to which to add this video.

The Embed this link opens a window in which you can copy and paste a link to this video into a Canvas page, or an email. To view the video you to which you link, recipients will need to have a CSUEB Net ID and password.

Accessing Playlists in Academic Video Online

When you are viewing a video, find your own and others' playlists by clicking "Show Navigation and Search:"

Then click on Playlists. This will open a list of playlists you can access.

In that window you can choose your own playlists easily by clicking on "Show only my playlists:"

You can annotate and edit playlist information and details about each item in your playlist.

Creating and using Clips

To create a Clip, click the scissors icon:

You'll get the menu/options shown below.

Just enter the start and stop time, along with a title and description. We recommend leaving the visibility at "Just me." You can change that and descriptive details at any time. Then click Save

Your Clip will show up under the Clips link immediately to the right of the Playlists link. You can add Clips to Playlists in the same way you added the whole video. Please note: audio, digital scores, and texts can be added to playlists and audio clips can be created and used similarly.
