• By submitting your textbook adoption information to the campus bookstore, especially if you do not have an assigned textbook or are using OER (open educational resources, free, publicly available materials to your students), we are able to mark courses as Zero Cost & Low Cost in the general catalog. Instructions & forms to submit your textbook adoptions can be found in this Google Drive folder

• For Department Admin/Scheduler: Coding Zero-Cost Class Sections in your schedule of Classes

• Research shows that "Students in the OER sections were retained and persisted at a statistically significant higher rate, lending credibility to the findings of former studies regarding retention and persistence rates in courses taught with OER materials" (Bol, 2021).

• Students can locate free or low-cost textbooks and course materials using the ZCCM & LCCM attribute in the course catalog!

• Faculty can reduce or remove the cost of course materials by using Open Education Resources (OERs) by exploring Suggested Resources for Finding ALS/OER Materials.

Look for Zero Cost Course Materials (ZCCM) or Low Cost Course Materials (LCCM) Courses in the Course Catalog

• Go to MyCSUEB Portal
• Or view the Schedule & Catalog
• When browsing courses in the course catalog, go down to Course Attribute.
• Click on the dropdown menu to select, "Zero Cost Course Materials" to conduct your search

• Once you perform your search a summary of your search criteria will appear, along with the results that match your search criteria
• If you do not see a course you are interested in offered as a "Zero Cost Course" try searching for a "Low Cost Course Materials" course by modifying your search.
