The materials listed below are only some of the many available resources to Cal State East Bay students, staff & faculty via the University Libraries. Depending on the format (i.e. video, book, article), some materials might be available to access for free online via the library's streaming subscriptions, or you can borrow/check-out the item for free. Latin America Press - According to their opening statement, "the Latinamerica Press has been publishing independent news, analysis and information materials since 1969." Based in Lima Peru, the Latinamerica press offers a local perspective on the region's news.

Hablamas Today - Daily podcast, they "take regular news stories, and slow them down to a more comprehensible level. We also take care to clearly enunciate every word. This is the perfect option for anybody wanting to improve their Spanish comprehension.

MLA International Bibliography  - Produced by the Modern Language Association (MLA), this database provides a subject index for books and articles published on modern languages, literatures, folklore, and linguistics.

Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts - This database abstracts and indexes the international literature in linguistics and related disciplines in the language sciences. The database covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics.

Literature Resource Center - Gale's LRC is a reference database designed for both the undergraduate and graduate students.  It compiles articles on literary figures from all time periods and countries writing in such genres as fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, history, journalism, and more.

Don Quijote - This is a commercial site that offers courses for pay. They offer a lot of resources on learning the Spanish language as well as on the culture for free.

Spanish 4 Teachers - Provides free teaching resources.
