❗️Get Help Preparing Tax Forms
  • Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) [Link - Alameda County Social Services]
    • Since 2002, SSA Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) preparers have helped taxpayers to receive larger tax refunds by claiming the credits they have earned. The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is provided to working families and single or married individuals. Additionally, families and individuals may be eligible for other credits. Find out if you qualify.
  • Earn It Keep It Save It [Link - United Way Bay Area]
    • United Way Bay Area partners with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), churches, nonprofits, AARP, and other organizations to scale the free tax preparation effort across the region.
  • Tax Help at the Oakland Public Libraries [Link - OPL.org]
    • Make sure to have your documents ready: a copy of your last year's federal and and state tax returns, all paperwork needed to fill out your returns for the current year, your spouse's information if you are filing jointly, a photo ID, and your social security number/card.
