Teachable Tuesdays: Tabletop Games!
4-5pm CORE 338
Not sure what game to begin with? That's okay! Choosing a place to start can feel overwhelming, lucky for you there are multiple guides and reviews for the best starter board games. Check out one of the ones below if you need help deciding which game to play first!
Do you like to play board games, card games, dice games, any games?
Join us in the Library as we host various gaming events! With a growing collection of games in the Library CORE, you are sure to find one you are wanting to try. For AY24-25, I will be hosting Teachable Tuesdays: Tabletop Games (4-5pm in CORE 338). Look for more information on Spring Out of Stress (Apr 29)!
If you are a student, staff, or faculty at Cal State East Bay, you can now borrow games and bring them home to play. The complete list can be found in the Library Catalog. Here are a list of some games you can borrow:
These games can be picked up on the short shelves next to the children's books and then taken to the Checkout Desk to be borrowed. Up to two games may be checked out at a time with a one-week renewal. Please double, triple-check to make sure all parts are back in the game before you return it. Thank you!
Email Jeffra.Bussmann@csueastbay.edu (the Gaming Librarian) if you have any questions, recommendations, or want to donate games!
Curious to watch more games in action? Check out some of these gaming YouTube Channels!
Over in the Old UU, there is a Game Zone, and they also have board games that you can check out. Email gamezone@csueastbay.edu if you have any questions regarding their games.
Many thanks to MLIS Interns, Ethan Weinschenk and Devon Simpson, for their contributions to this LibGuide!
As a member of the Cal State East Bay community with an office on the Hayward campus, I acknowledge that I am a guest on the unceded land of the First People of this region, the present-day Muwekma Ohlone Tribe of the San Francisco Bay Area (formerly Verona Band of Alameda County). I support the sovereignty of this Chochenyo-Ohlone-speaking tribal group and other indigenous peoples. Full CSUEB Muwekma Ohlone Tribal Land Acknowledgement / Whose land are you on?
