DMPTool is a free, open-source service of the University of California Curation Center, which is part of the California Digital Library. This online application was designed to help researchers create data management plans or DMPs. DMPs are now required by many of the agencies that fund research as part of the grant writing process. DMPTool can help you create DMPs that comply with funder requirements and provides resources demonstrating data management best practices.
