Location
Stanford University is located in Stanford, California.  The climate in July is mild, with average temperatures ranging from a low of 56 to a high of 79 degrees.  Mornings and evenings can be cool, and most buildings on campus are not air conditioned, so it is recommended that you bring a lightweight jacket or sweater that you can remove easily.

On Campus Lodging
Overnight accommodations are provided in Stern Hall - the Donner wing, starting the night of Sunday, 7/26 until the morning of Wednesday, 7/29.  Most rooms are one-room doubles (with two twin beds).  If you choose shared accommodations, the fee is per person.  You will be assigned a roommate of the same gender or you can make a roommate request.  There is a limited number of single rooms.  Bathrooms are shared and are located on each wing.  It's recommended that you bring a bathrobe or something to wear to get to and from the showers.  All sleeping rooms are made up with a full set of linens and towels for each guest.  Only common areas (lounges and bathrooms) will be provided with daily housekeeping service.  The building is non-smoking. On site check-in at Stern - Donner is on Sunday, 7/26, from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Outside of those times, there is a regional Conference Front Desk located at Stern Hall open 8am-8pm daily.  The dorm address is 618 Escondido Road, Stanford, CA 94305.
