The Student Center for Academic Achievement (SCAA) is hiring Peer Tutors and Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders for the 2018-2019 academic year.

What we're looking for:

  • knowledge and experience in the subject
  • excited to support student success

Juan Espinosa Presents: Barrio Expressions

Hayward Campus Library

Barrio Expressions was a Hayward public access cable television show that ran weekly from 1976 to 1985. The shows focused on events, art, music, and other features of the Chicano culture in the East Bay by documenting low-rider car shows, cultural events and the everyday struggles in Hayward, Union City, Decoto, San Leandro and Oakland.

Juan Espinosa, producer of Barrio Expressions, and other crew members, will screen video clips, discuss the show and answer your questions.

DVDs will be available for purchase after the event.

Starting on April 16, current CSUEB students, faculty, and staff will have access to the extended study hours at San Francisco State and San Jose State. You will have to be currently enrolled or employed at CSUEB and bring your Bay Card.

San Francisco State University Extended Hours
SFSU Research Commons is open 24 hours, 7 days a week except holidays and breaks. See: https://library.sfsu.edu/hours To get a card to use the extended hours, you must bring your Bay Card to the SFSU help desk before 10 pm.

San Jose State University Extended Hours
SJSU Library is open to students 24 hours Monday-Thursday. To get a card to use the extended hours, you must bring your Bay Card to the SJSU circulation desk before 11 pm on Monday-Thursday or before 7 pm on Sunday.
