It's late. It's dark. It's the middle of the night. You should be at home in bed, but you need to finish up that group presentation, or cram for a critical mid-term, or write that term paper from hell. What do you do?

Come over to the Library Learning Commons. Now open until 2am Sunday-Thursday. We have computers, printers, wireless, and a couple of vending machines for body fuel. Students only after 10pm (after 7pm on Sundays). So, bring your BayCard to get in and use the door from the courtyard, just to the right of Starbucks and the ATM.

Got Questions? The Library can help you find Answers. CSUEB is a big place. Lots of buildings and offices. Where do you find a tutor or advisor? How do you find a good place to study, get help with an assignment, or figure out BlackBoard? Sometimes, the hardest part is figuring out where to start.

This Fall, the Library Peer Welcomers will help you out. Friendly students right at the library front door from 11am-4pm Monday-Thursday during the first four weeks of the quarter. They'll take any question you’ve got, and if they don't know the answer right away, they'll help you get started.

Of course, if you get here at a time when we don't have a Peer Welcomer at the entrance, just go over to the Circulation Desk or the Reference (Ask Us!) Desk and we'll help you from there.

The library has millions of online articles, thousands of online journals, ebooks, and steaming videos. We have 700,000 books on our shelves and millions more are available to you from the other libraries in the CSU through CSU+. If you want to read it, the library will get it for you 95% of the time (textbooks not always available ...).

So, where you start to look for what you need? The library has a new OneSearch catalog where you can find almost everything that we have. Just go to the library web site and use the search box. If you need help or want to become an expert, come over to the Reference (Ask Us!) Desk or check out one of our online tutorials. Try the Library Catalog Overview or Using CSU+.
