OER in Higher Education Graduate Internship Awarded!

by Library News on 2021-08-26T09:10:57-07:00 | 0 Comments

The University Libraries is pleased to announce that the Fall 2021 OER in Higher Education Graduate Student Internship has been awarded to Ye Zhai! Below Ye introduces herself and her passion for advocating for open educational resources.

"Hello everyone! My name is Ye Zhai and I’m currently enrolled in the MLIS program at SJSU. I'm super excited to join the ALS/OER team at Cal State East Bay and really look forward to working with our community on advocating for open educational resources and values.

I firmly believe that everyone should have equal access to quality education. The fact that social and political obstacles still exist for many students around the world is concerning, but it also indicates a possibility of improving the system, especially in higher education. My passion for teaching and learning motivates me to seek out strategies and methods that can meet the needs of more people, and OER seems to be the right way to go.

I would love to work with the ALS/OER team to make our resources more visible and accessible to the Cal State East Bay community. I hope that our efforts in promoting and facilitating the adoption of OER will assist students in getting valuable learning experience and achieving academic success. Looking forward to working with you all this fall!"
