CSU East Bay Honors Convocation: Home

This site recognizes and celebrates the academic accomplishments of our students earning honors at graduation. Each year, The Student Honors Convocation has been an opportunity to come together to recognize exceptional academic performance. This year, due to the COVID-19 shelter-in-place order, we have had to cancel the in-person celebration for Spring 2020. But that doesn’t make any of our students' accomplishments less meaningful or significant.

Students graduating with scholastic honors will each receive a University medallion engraved with the seal of California State University, East Bay. Students graduating from the University Honors Program will receive an academic stole.

The University recognizes three levels of scholastic honors, which are sometimes called Latin Honors: Summa Cum Laude (3.85 GPA), Magna Cum Laude (3.70 GPA), Cum Laude (3.65 GPA). We also recognize the achievements of students who are graduating from the University Honors Program.
