INFO 200: Topics in Information Literacy: Sustainability

Satisfies 3 units of area: "E"
Also fulfills Information Literacy graduation requirement

About the course:
More and more jobs in diverse industries (e.g. public health, management, engineering, social and political sciences) require a basic understanding of sustainability issues!

This 3-unit fully online class provides an overview of sustainability, including its core components: social equity, economics, and the environment.

This class uses a case study approach to understand environmental justice, sustainability practices, and global threats and opportunities in sustainability.

INFO 210: Introduction to Information Literacy Skills

Fall Semester 2019
1-unit (online)

INFO 210 is offered online this fall with a sustainability theme. You will learn about library research while exploring important sustainability topics.

About the course:
Introduction to basic information literacy skills to assist in research processes. Issues of finding appropriate information sources, critical evaluation, and information ethics will be covered. Prerequisites: Completion of GE area A2 and Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing. Credit Restrictions: Not open to students with credit for LIBY 220. Grading: A-F grading only. Equivalent Quarter Course: LIBY 1210.
