Learning Commons

The Learning Commons is located in the Lower Mall of the CSU East Bay Library, Hayward Campus.

This facility is only for registered students, staff, faculty and alumni. It is self-service, so you can walk up to any of the computers and sign in with your NetID and Password.

There are 2 stations reserved for PRINT ONLY or QUICK EMAIL check. You must present your valid CSUEB ID to check out these stations. The checkout is limited to 10 minutes.

Wireless network

To access the campus network from a PC laptop you need to have McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise with the latest virus definitions, your Windows Firewall must be on and Cisco Clean Access Agent. Follow the instructions below.For a Windows XP machine For a Windows Vista machine

Note:If you have Windows Vista, some registry entries need to be modified. Please refer to this document. For PDAs, Linux or Macs connect to the “EBGuest” wireless network, open up a browser and follow the instructions.

Printing

Public printers are located in Library Lower Mall, Library Upper Mall and Learning Commons. You can pay for printing using your Bay Card. To find out how to print from your laptop please go here.
