Technical Services
Technical Services is responsible for acquiring, organizing, preserving and providing access to pertinent recorded knowledge to support teaching, research and creative activities.
The Acquisitions/Serials Unit is responsible for ordering, receiving and processing for payment all materials acquired by the University Library to support the University’s academic programs. The unit coordinates the library’s approval plan, serial publications, gift materials, media purchases, and federal documents depository programs. Acquisitions is also responsible for monitoring the annual materials budget, assuring that we stay within budget guidelines.
Bibliographic Control is responsible for organizing, providing and preserving access to pertinent recorded knowledge available to the Cal State East Bay community through the University Libraries web site.
