Access Services
The Access Services unit is responsible for making sure library materials are readily available to users through circulation, inventory control, book stacks maintenance, maintenance of the patron database, related financial transactions, and public interaction. Access also coordinates all resource-sharing services, delivering materials that are unavailable from the Hayward Campus, to our users through LINK+ or interlibrary loan services.
Circulation: The Circulation Desk maintains inventory control over all circulating materials, maintains the physical book collection, handles all financial issues relating to circulation, and serves as a public contact/relations area within the library. Circulation Services also administers Link+ and book request services that allow faculty, staff and students to borrow materials (which are unavailable from Hayward) from other CSU campuses. General assistance is also available from the Circulation Desk.
Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery provides CSUEB faculty, staff and students with books, journal articles and other materials which are not owned by the CSUEB Library; it also lends CSUEB Library materials and provides photocopied journal articles to other libraries.
