Certain conditions will result in restrictions to patrons’ library privileges. These conditions include but are not limited to:
- owing $10 or more in fines/bills
- keeping an item requested by another patron
- having blocks in the patron records for incorrect address, e-mail, etc.
having an expired patron record - failure to adhere to payment arrangements
Student records are encumbered in the library when unpaid library fees total $10 or more. Borrowing privileges are suspended until fees are paid.
Student records are encumbered in SAIL, the campus student database, when unpaid library fees total $50 or more. Borrowing privileges, registration for classes, and University services are blocked until fees are paid.
