Autism Awareness Month–Library Display
Autism statistics from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identify around 1 in 88 American children as on the autism spectrum–a ten-fold increase in prevalence in 40 years. April is Autism Awareness month, and the library, in conjunction with Dr. Shubah Kashinath, Communicative Sciences & Disorders, is helping raise awareness by showcasing some of its holdings. Look for the display just the right of the main entrance, and found out more about Autism at Autism Speaks.
