Encyclopedia of Religion Available in Print

Scholarly, fifteen volume reference work  arranged alphabetically by subject. Each article is signed and includes a bibliography. This 2005 publication is the 2nd edition of the Encyclopedia of Religion edited by Mircea Eliade and first published in 1987. This covers a wide range of topics and surveys ideas across cultures. Find this in the Reference section at REF BL31 .E46 2005 v.1-15.

Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy go! Available Online

“Most of the articles in The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy are original contributions by specialized philosophers around the Internet; these are identifiable by the author’s name at the foot of the article. Others are are temporary, or “proto articles,” and have largely been adapted from older sources. They are identifiable by the inclusion of the initials IEP at the close, and will in time be replaced by original articles (see submission guidelines).”

The General Editors are James Fieser (on the philosophy faculty at the University of Tennessee Martin) and Bradley Dowden (on the philosophy faculty at CSU Sacramento).
