Information literacy tutorials

Please feel free to use any of the East Asian Information Literacy Tutorial Series videos. The East Asian Information Literacy project is a series of short tutorials to contextualize Information Literacy concepts in the field of East Asian studies. The Association of College & Research Libraries defines Information literacy as “the set of integrated abilities encompassing the reflective discovery of information, the understanding of how information is produced and valued, and the use of information in creating new knowledge and participating ethically in communities of learning.”

This project is funded by the Librarians Association of the University of California and the University of California, Santa Barbara Library. These videos were created by Yao Chen, Librarian for East Asian Studies & Global Studies at UC Santa Barbara Library. Yao Chen collaborated with a group of librarians in North America on it including Linshan Jiang from EACLS.
