The University Libraries were the heart of campus during the 2016-17 academic year, with 1.24 million visits by students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Whether it was questions that needed answers, access to laptop or desktop computers, spaces to study quietly, or places to collaborate, the library supported learning, achievement, collaboration and student success.

Library faculty answered 4,612 questions and taught information literacy skillls to 1,724 students in 69 credit courses. The Student Center for Academic Achievement had 7,005 visits to their Peer Tutoring sessions in math, writing, chemistry, biology, physics, and statistics.

Computer desktops in the library were used 211,569 times, and the Learning Commons staff resolved 2,379 requests for technology help. Laptops were loaned 4,275 times to students for four hour periods, and 393 laptops were loaned to students for an entire quarter to support equity of access to technology.

The nine group study rooms in the library were reserved 18,228 times, and students were invited to participate in eight Gaming Events and six final exam De-Stress Events hosted by the library.
